Biography

Alina Frances is a young woman who has always been active in the realms of music and theater. As a child, violin lessons and school plays allowed her to discover her true talents which she kept on developing actively through the years. During her teenage years she began taking proper singing lessons with a classical music instructor. Throughout this period of her life she decided to explore theater as well, most especially musical theater.

Alina took lessons at Québec City’s Maison Jaune and later studied one year at Johanne Raby Academy in the musical theater program in Montréal. She also completed a semester at Québec’s Conservatoire de Musique.

In addition to her education, she participated in several important projects in the worlds of theater and music. Alina performed in the musical drama Au pied du mur in 2009-2010 and lent her voice to a rock group whose leader is none other than her brother, a skilled guitarist. She also performed a cover and produced in a video for Every Breath You Take by The Police and she accepted to take part of a web series project.

Alina Frances is currently perfecting her craft in popular and Broadway singing style with her instructor, the very talented Katee Julien, who took part in projects such as Les Misérable in Québec, Roméo et Juliette, Dance Sing, Hommage à Édith Piaf and more.

Finally, Alina is currently preparing her first solo album and she is working on a script for a TV project. She is part of the UDA as an intern member.
